How do I make Windows Media Player my default media player?

hello, I'm new of this newsgroup.
I have a problem with istallation of movie maker 2.
I downloaded the file mm20ita ( I'm italian) on desktop and I run it but
movie maker is not changed.

Error message: Rpcss has caused an error in YPCLSP.DLL
Rpcss will not close.
Even after hitting the close button it comes back up and
it didn't go away after i tried restarting my computer.

Can anyone help I purchased Inksaver installed it and it
ran once next time i tried to run the prog it a message

Why Is it that when my windows loads, it never loads
explorer.(not internet explorer) If u ctrl+alt+delete you
get alist of programs and one called "explorer."
my computer does not have this whilst my work laptop does.

When online my system is constanly locking up. I have
preformed many checks and cannot find the problem. Any
suggestions whatsoever may prove helpful. Windows ME, Dell
