For the past few months, the Help and Support that is
installed on my computer does not work.  I keep getting:
The initialization of the Help Center failed.
Please report the following error number to Microsoft

My computer, running Windows ME, will no longer start. It
loads Windows to the ME logo, and says "Setup is updating
your configuration files. This may take a few minutes."
and after some time, it comes up with an error along the
"Explorer has caused error...11 May 2004 06:52 GMT4
...in <unknown>. Explorer will now close." etc,etc.
Any thoughts as to how best to first approach this curious
error message?
BTW, SP1 was installed on the machine from a cd-rom, and

This morning, after installing the latest Windows update
on my computer which runs Windows ME, I got the following
message when attempting to open windows movie maker, which
promptly shuts down thereafter:

Anyone know where I can get a boot disk for windows ME?? A
friend has a computer with ME on it and its stopped
booting up and wants a boot disk. Sadly she has the
computer, but the ex has walked off with all the support

Would appreciate any imfo for deleteing a virus file which
has been inserted in my load module. Can see it using
Microsofy tools but there is no way to delete it. Cleared
registry but cannot get it out of the oad program.

we installed a DLINK ethernet card in the machine however
the operating system (MIllennium) will not recognize it I
keep getting the error port not available it is in use by
the key board. How can I get around this ?

When I shut down my computer, I receive a
message "..KERNEL32.DLL do you still want to shut down?"

I am frequently receiving an Internet Explorer warning box
saying "Your current security settings prohibit running
ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the page may
no display correctly". The page does not load, IE6 freezes
