Something is generating cpy files in the \restore\temp folder. Restore is turned off but the number of files continue to grow. What is generating these files and how can I delete them?

Whenever I reboot, a little box appears in the middle of the screen, saying "The parameter is incorrect". It does not describe which parameter, or what shortcut is causing it.
