When I boot up I get the error message:
Avsynmgr has caused an error in MCSCAN32.DLL
Avsynmgr will now close.
When I click on the close option the com;puter finishes

I downloaded new dat files for Mcafee and something
happened.  I reloaded Windows Me and found that I had alot
of doc and pictures folder missing from C.  Help is there
a program that will restore these files?  I know they are

Can anyone help me with an irritating problem?
I use an accounts program (Money Manager), which
needs 'shell.dll' to be in the W/System32 folder (as well

This is a bit odd.  The Add/remove programs list has
disappeared ! When I click on the icon in My Computer, no
list appears, so I can't remove anything 'properly'.  
Anyone have any idea how to get it back ?

This is a strange one.  The list of programs in the
Add/remove programs utility in Control Panel has
disappeared and consequently. I  can't uninstall stuff
properly.  Does anyone have any idea how to get it back ?

I have a Toshiba PDR M25 that was a gift from my brother
(his castoff!).  The manual says that Windows ME does NOT
need a driver installed.  When I first hooked up the USB
cable the computer gave me a message that new hardware had

Needing assistance in rectifying start up error when
trying to access Media Player. I recently tried updating
