If I have an error in my windows 98, & my computer tells
me I need to reinstall windows, if I upgraded with
windows2000 which doesn't erase your data you have saved,
than can I just up upgrade & not lose everything I have on

I put my msgsrv32 file in the recycle bin, now I can't
even turn my computer on to safe mode, it only works in
dos. I did get an error message once before crashing, it

I'm not experiencing any computer problems with this Dell
running Win ME but I've paid attention to what's going on
with the current virus/worm situation.  So, I have the

I  think WINME sets the number of backup points to 5.  However, a year
ago I recall a method of changing that to whatever you wanted.  I've
forgotten how to tweak the registry (I think that was how it was done)
to change to 10.

For several months now, I have now been able to shut down
Windows ME.  I use the "Shut Down" from the start task bar
but it only shuts down Windows - will no longer power down
the computer. I have to manually power down and as soon as

20 gb hard drive and 15gb has been taken up by system restore files.  when
trying to delete the files, it says...access denied.  Need to delete these
files...how do i do that?

When I open Minesweeper the Active title Bar is above the
visible screen.  I have tried using the move function when
I right click on the minimized bar on the bottome of the
screen but I cannot touch the title bar to move it.  How
