At boot up, I get an error message box that says "Error loading explorer.exe.  You must reinstall Windows"
Used Google and tried the following:
    used boot disk and ran scandisk /all, then scanreg /fix, then scanreg /restore.  None helped.
    installed a new copy of explorer ...

I am getting an error that tells me the system cannot find
a program file.  Is there anyway to retrieve/access this
file if its name is known?  It is a program file and the
name is mscoree.dll.  I do not see this in the recyle bin

I know ME should not be affected by the blastworm virus. But starting last
Saturday, August 9, my office computer has all of the symptoms.  I have a
cable modem and the lights show I have a signal.  I have a SMC (?) router
and it shows a signal.  I called my ISP and they tested it ...

I have several problems, but i also cannot change from 16
bit color even though i have tried several times and

I recently downloaded two Windows updates.  Since that
time I have experienced SIGNIFICANT delays between the
time I make a keystroke and the moment the letter appears
on the screen when composing e-mail.  Sometimes I can have

After doing critical updates and cleaning up drive and
uninstalling norton 2001 (which gave me an error while
uninstalling), NOW, the only way my computer boots up is
in Safe Mode.

My clock is always falling behind on the time display.  
When I restart my computer it comes back up to the
correct time, but by the end of the day it's like 10min
behind.  This wouldn't be a big deal except this computer

My display has been reduced to 16 colours and the res down
to 640 x 480. I cannot change it back it restarts and
comes up the same, if it lets me open the pannel at all. I
ran norton but it found nothing.

Hey Silj,
       What's the deal with the 08/15 Spybot updates?  I can't seem to get
them from any of the download sites....would this be a result of the power
outage in the northeast?
