Since yesterday morning, I have been unable to access my
word files because an error message appears which states:
There is not enough memory or disk space to run word.  
Winword USER.EXE, followed by Winword will now close Q

I have tried to install WindowsMe updates from the MS site
for several weeks.  The updates appear to download OK, but
they never install.  The download window shows all files
downloaded, but the installation bar below the download

Everytime I boot up my computer the message comes that I
had not shut it down properly the last time.  Scan Disk
then starts but does not complete the scan process.  If I
hit the cancel button then it continues booting up

I'm a new user of WinMe and was wondering how I make the desktop icons

A few months ago I posted this problem on this forum; a fix was posted and I
have forgotten how it was done.  The problem has returned.
Outlook Express saves a copy or partial copy of my Address Book to the
desktop as a file called "~" on a frequent basis.

Tried resetting the restore thru performance and unchecking restore...but no
go.  It's already checked...tried unchecking but it doesn't do anything and
rechecks the box.  Tried to select all the files and delete and it says
access denied.  Then tried to delete whole directory...it ...
