I began having problems downloading my banking files,
whereas previously I was able to do so. The message is as
follows:
The header: C:\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\content.IE5

Please advise me of step-by-step instruction how I can
correct/resolve this problem.  When needing to restart my
computer the following messages all appear on a black
screen:

the win me computer of somenone i know shows a picture at
startup time. his son was on the internet and clicked

When I click START/PROGRAMS, the programs come up in three columns and I
cannot see the last column because it is off the screen.  How can I fix
this?

ok I've been getting this message everytime I attempt to
open a program.. even internet explorer. I had to open a
folder and type in the web address to get onto the net.

I would say I've a virus, but Norton comes up clean.
Started my computer today and suddenly it had a start task
bar that was maybe 2 inches tall. The icons on my desktop
are ok, but where there should be an icon name, it has a

When the computer starts up it will go to a
list that has 1 thru 4. Will highlight safe mode
and count down then go to safe mode if I do not
slect and another number like one witch is normal mode.

All virus fixes tell you to disable "restore".  Why what does it do?  Does
it restore the Registry??.  If so what else if anything?

I notice on all the virus remove instructions it says to disable Restore.
Why what does it do. Is it restoring the registry.  What is different with
this then the "scanreg /restore" command line in win98?

When I use system restore I get a message that says "cannot restore your
computer to ----- pick a different date" isn't there a patch to fix this, or
some kind of update?
