Windows Update Problems with WinME04 Sep 2003 01:11 GMT6
I reinstalled Windows ME and went to the windows update
page to download the updates, and received a message I've
never seen before. It said I had to be logged on as an
administrator. I've never had a problem before. Also, it

I uninstalled a sims game, using the uninstall optoion in
the program files, for that game. As soon as I did that,
all of my other games went missing from the program files.

Now that the dust has cleared, what's the consesus among the experts?
Is ME really an improvement over 98 or 98SE, or should I buy the older
version?

I just did a reload of Windows Me over itself.  Now when I
go to some websites I get the message "YOUR CURRENT
SECURITY SETTINGS PROHIBIT DISPLAYING ACTIVE X CONTROLS."
I wasn't getting that before I did the reload.  I have
