With OS WinME, when booting the computer, it goes
directly into safe mode, and gives error message as
follows.....WARNING...WINREG HAS DETECTED A CONFIGURATION
ERROR, USE SCANREG TO FIX ERROR...then the screen goes

at start up, a message comes up saying that a required
DLL file,.HOSTRESS 32.DLL file is needed. cant seem to
locate

i reinstalled windows ME and the left pane (showing the
tree) will not open.  can anybody help

My system was running perfectly and then i took the
windows automatic updates .. since then when my computer
starts up i get two error messages .. the first regarding
IEDLL.EXE telling me its corrupt and i need to reinstall

I just did my first backup ever, using the program (issued
by Seagate) that came with the WIN Me installed by the
manufacturer on my laptop.  The Job Report shows a number
of errors which refer to certain "files" that were "busy"

Thankfully norton stops it but how do I block it for good?
