When I boot the computer I get "windows protection error"
after the windows splash screen.  The bootlog.txt shows
everything loading successfully and the final line is
"Initializing kernel".  I have been through article 273738

I have WinMe installed on m computer and i want to format
the drive so i can put win98 on it but when i put the
win98 cd in it wont boot up saying that it is an older
windows. How can i get into DOS to format the drive?

Get error"WMVCORE.DLL".Ihave to shut down.

What I need to know is how to restore the control panel [Windows ME] after
it has been shut down by tweak ui.
None of the things in the control panel will work and I get a message saying
to contact the system administrator????

compaq told me the registry is corrputed how do i fix this
I can't even open control panels or the start menu

I get the above error message when I try to install the
supplied software for my Palm Tungsten T3. How can I solve
this problem so I can install the software to my desktop?

Security Update keeps downloading.  In the last week has
done this 5 times.  Windows Update records show it has
been installed 5 times.

Keep hanging up when using Microsoft Explorer. When I
Ctrl/Alt/Del it shows 'Microsoft Explorer (not
responding)'.

The above message appears whenever my PC is switched on.  
I cannot get the message box to disappear and I also
cannot shut down the PC as normal.  Can anyone help ?

Trying to Launch Internet Explorer 6 appears to not work.  
But - when I open the recycle bin - something triggers IE
to then finally start up.
