Help please.
I can't "right click desktop" to get the "proprty display"
to do some adjusting. It only says it is an HTTP file.. No
changing set up or screensaver.

I have a Compaq Presario 5000 US which was brought in to be "cleaned up".
It is indeed a mess. After booting in Safe Mode and removing most
everything from startup in msconfig, I was able to get it to boot in
Normal Mode. There was no virus application installed, so I decided

Somehow, I changed the resolution of my 'Dell' splash
screen on startup of my laptop from full screen to
a 'small' resolution.  The same has happended to my ME
splash screen.  I was hoping someone could let me know how

I have seen advice about closing "all running
application.." before continuing while using Scan Disk and
other applications. In C. Panel I close all but Explorer
and Systray and often the .." close all runnig

While my anti-virus program was running, it found a file
called "smartcrd.dat" file and tried to open it to scan.  
It couldn't open it.  What is this file and can it be
deleted?

lately when I am online I will be surfing and for no
reason my computer crashes; I get a blue screen. I would
hit any key to continue and when my screen comes back my
internet connection gets very very slow, and I am on a

MSN sign-in screen pops up at start-up and will NOT go
away. I removed it from the start menu, but it comes back
How can I delete the MSN sign-in from the start menu and
keep it out?

Me again.  Had to use the rescue disks and now the screen
display is grainy, like its in safe mode, but its not.
Also boxes etc are not lining up properly but off centred
and not sitting/fitting right, and there's too much info

ok here is the deal, I have WinME, using OE6.  My inbox
says 4 new emails, with a blue 4, and i have no new
emails.  I checked my webmail and nothing there, and i
cleaned out all of my inbox,outbox,sent items and trash,

I am running Windows Me and I am experiencing many error
messages. Most of which are all assosiated with my .dll
files. An error message will pop up and when I click
cancel, a diffrent error will pop up with a diffrent .dll
