Networking at home22 Feb 2005 17:50 GMT2
I have a Windows ME and a Windows 98 computer that I would like to
network together.  I've attached a Firewire cable to them both; little
green light is lit next to both, but neither computer seems to know
that the other exists.  I've tried the Home Networking Wizard and the
GMail Drive22 Feb 2005 10:25 GMT17
During my research on gmail I came across this quite useful tool. It hasn't
been mentioned on this NG before, according to my knowledge, and therefore I
would like to bring it to your attention.
The link to the download site is:   www.viksoe.dk.
Assign Drive Letter22 Feb 2005 10:18 GMT4
I just hooked up a 512 mb flash drive to the USB port. It does
not see the drive when I open windows explorer. I think I remember
shortening my drive list a long time ago but I forgot how I did it.
Can someone tell me how to increase the assigned drive list?

Just wondering if my experience was a lone effort :-)
I have a dual boot WinME and WinXP system, ASUS motherboard using the now
discontinued RDRAM.
I increased the RAM from 512Mb to 1024Mb.

I heard there was a new worm to be let loose this weekend called MyDoom.
How do I check my free AVG to make sure that this virus is in their
database?
Thanks, Eileen

After uninstalling Sygate and installing EZ Firewall, gmail keeps trying but
can't finish loading.
I don't get any messages from my firewall and it worked perfectly before.
Is there a remedy?

Windows ME update replacement20 Feb 2005 20:39 GMT1
How can I get replacement cd's for the originals which have been lost?  This
was an upgrade retail product which I had bought to install over W98.
It's on an, obviously, old computer that I dont think pays to bother to
update to XP.
Re: Cannot find...20 Feb 2005 15:51 GMT7
Revisiting this subject with new information:
Everything seems to be allright, until I open OE and click on this or any
other NG. There is no problem with OE, but when leaving OE and trying to
open IE, it 'cannot find server or DNS error'.
Error in page20 Feb 2005 15:39 GMT19
