I reinstalled Win ME and am having a problem.   My computer turns on by
itself at 2:00 am.     I have done on line scans for viruses, malware, etc.  
I went thru every program and changed everything that says automatic update,
even my AV.    It is still turning on.

I have a friend send this email asking for help. This is all the info I
have. Any suggestions?

I'm trying to reformat my computer. For some reason I can't get past the A:\

 I am getting strange messages while in the boot process.
While booting and after the memory check page the strange messages start
appearing as follows:
In the top left it says "Realtek RTL81399(A/B/C)/ RTL8130 Boot Agent"

My computer is running real slow and I was goning to run recovery but I cant
get it to run, I did it one time but pushing the * 12, but then I could'nt
get it so boot up, so I had to take it in to get it fixed and that was

Why does this update (Cumulative Security Update for Outlook Express 6
Service Pack 1 (KB837009)) keep re-installing on my Windows/ME system?
Anyone else have this problem?  When I go to the Windows Update webpage and
look at installation history, there are 15 instances of this ...

I plug a USB flash drive in a USB port and the NB detects the hardware but
just hang there and failed to install the driver automatically.  Can someone
advise me the possible solution.

I just realized that the automatic downloading program for Windows Updating
was not implemented.   Checking if I had the 891711.exe issued on Jan 11/05
and updated April 12/05 (V.2) is not downloaded. Furthermore the update for

Trying to uninstall Adobe Photo that came with Adobe Reader and

I am using Windows ME and SBC DSL service. When I click  "Start|Search|For
Files or Folder" I no longer get the search dialog  box. The screen returns
to whatever is displayed.
