I got a used computer so I could install Win 98 and run my favorite old
flight sim. The computer had Windows ME on it. When I run the uninstall
program, an error message says "Unable to locate the installation log file."
Do I have to format the hard drive to accomplish this?

When I go into My Documents, not all of the files shown display their
file extension. This is particularly true for .pif files.
Even right-clicking on the file, and bringing up Properties, shows
absolutely no information about the file extension.

Using Windows ME, I guess I must have accidentally  deleted my WMP. The
