HELP- PC with Win ME won't shut down properly31 Oct 2006 07:50 GMT11
My PC has had problems shutting down. It has an ASUS A7V-266 motherboard
with Athlon
1900+ CPU. I also had shut down/scandisk problems with the original SOYO
motherboard. The hard drive is only a few months old, a Seagate 160MB. I

Have downloaded a trial version for some software.
Getting a file is linked to missing expert ntdll.dll:nt openprocess message.
Ive got a ntdll.dll file, should I copy that to system 32 older to resolve
this issue?

Ok guys  heres the problem,
if I start OE (mine is ver, 6.00.2800.1123) before IE (again ver,
6.00.2800.1123)  the OE will not access the server at my ISP.
but if I start the IE first  then the OE  will access the server..

I'm trying to run Scandisk in my wife's pc.  It has ME on it.   I get a
Scandisk error message that says Scandisk is restaring after a bit because
something else is writing to the hard drive.
Where do I go from here?

it up. WinME keeps repeating the initial setup. This window has 5 tabs:

One of my company's PC using Window ME.
Most text in all documents (Excel or Word) and e-mail using font Times
Roman/Times Roman Bold/Times Roman Italic are shown in square.
I can't find any font in the Windows ME CD, so I try to copy font files via

What does it indicate when everytime you restart your computer, even tho you have shut down
correctly,  ScanDisk runs and states the system was not properly shut down.
Would or could it be a bad HD Controller?
Would or coult it be a bad Motherboard?
