windows me did a system restore after a lock up. now trying to re-install
wireless card software get error code [-5009:0x8002802b] please help.

I am still working on my friend's WME machine.   I tried running
scandisk because defrag required it and it keeps restarting  because
it says Windows or some other app is writing to the disk.
Ctrl-Alt-Delete only shows 3 things running:

I'm using SCANDISK surface scan from the ME restart diskette to try to
clean a friend's hard disk. It has bad clusters, starting about 80% of
the way through the 10 meg drive. Each SCANDISK iteration cleans about
5K clusters then stops for lack of memory (64megs) to store the log. I

I am looking to buy a new copy (original cd) of Windows ME for my second
computer.  Does anyone have an original copy or an original that I can buy ?

I am getting a lot of blue screens on shutdown saying something about a
Windows Exception or something and that I need to restart my computer. This
happens about 50% of the time and is annoying.
When I restart, Scandisk runs and keeps cycling , never getting to log-on

I am working on a friend's machine housing WME.  I don't personally
use WME,  and so, I don't recognize some things.
Having said that - how do I get WME to automatically play a music CD
in Media Player, when I load the disk?  I want the disk to start

I am unable to start windows normally.  When I turn on PC it gets past the
windows ME screen then a black screen with a message - Cannot find
System.ini.  And says please insert emergency diskette or something like
that.  I have tried to start in safe mode and it goes to the "it ...

After a clean system recovery for my dell dimension, install the drivers from
the dell cd, I get a 3 split screen on the monitor upon reboot. How can I
resolve this.Your help is much appreciated, thanks

Hi. Had a bad experience and had to use the system restore disks with
ME. Where can I go to find all the service packs for ME now that they're
not officially supported? I googled but couldn't find.

I guess you heard about the late Steve Irwin's memorial service.  Over
50,000 people attended to remember this giant of a conservationist.
Afterward, he was cremated.
Later, they buried his ashes in a CrocPot.

2002). When I installed word, there was an option to install some extra
fonts. I 'bookmarked' it in the help file and planned to install later.
When I tried it find it again, my 'bookmark' disappeared from help, ...
