I have three windows 98 se computers that are to slow to run XP, but
would run ME or 2000 fine I would prefer 2000.  Does anyone know were
to get a free upgrade disk or a web download.

If the computer failed to boot completely while asking to change the clock,
would that set the time back 1 hour anyway, so that the next time I tried to
boot it would lose a 2nd hour and if that failed, the third time it tried to
boot, the time would be set back 3 hours?

My friends HP with ME has an error message stating: "Mmkeybd has caused an
error in MDMDVDIF.DLL. Mmkeybd will now close." At this point, the machine
freezes and is unable to do anything except turn it off. Would like to turn
on, save some data and pictures and upgrade to XP.

I have a Dell desktop 8200 running MS Me five years old in October.  512 MB
RAM, 1.7 GHz processor, 80 GB hard drive (replaced original at about 2 years
due to intermittent tracking error checks).  Equipment is original except
for a different modem, keyboard, and mouse.  All updates ...

My WINME takes too long to boot up.
On completion (quiet hard disk), I click Cntl+Alt+Del
and see programs already loaded and running  in the
background.

My Hotmail account wants to download '796'  emails when i do a 'send and
receive' in outlook express6 (i have windows XP ).
These are not possibly *all* spam (a few might be) since i open and use this

I have 100s of email messages on my MEcomputer.  How do I transfer them to my
XPComputer.  I am trying to copy them to my portable hard drive. The
import/export function doesn't get me there.

I have just looked in Add/remove programs, and I seem to
have 3214 (Three thousand two hundred and fourteen)
different versions of Sun Java installed on my computer.

What does it indicate when everytime you restart your computer, even tho you have shut down
correctly,  ScanDisk runs and states the system was not properly shut down.
Would or could it be a bad HD Controller?
Would or coult it be a bad Motherboard?
