My pc is brain dead, trying to do most any thing gives me a Microsoft Internet Explorer message "Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly"

Saw this today on the antivirus group......but I doubt that I will go back to it. Confusing as Avast can be at times, I think I prefer their detection rate and the fact that it always updates.......not like CA. But it is worthwhile knowing it is out there.

In case you're interested: I had posted back in late March that I was having problems with a 7- year-old IBM Netvista constantly freezing while using Internet Explorer 6.

What to do!! Around June 30, Outlook Express can no longer be used to access Hotmail accounts. Microsoft says to install Windows Live Mail, which is not compatible with WinME. Nice. Does anyone have any reasonable workarounds for accessing Hotmail with ME,
