I know lavasoft Ad-Aware SE as we knew it for years is no  longer available.
Now their site advertise Ad-Aware 2008... not entirely sure if this is a
"free"  or "trial".   Can someone shed some light,  and if not really free,
suggest a replacement.   Thanks.

8 year old system with ME IE 6sp1, all of a sudden unable to open word docs,
no error msg, just hour glass timing, have to reboot to use other apps.  
Seems to me I had this problem a long time ago, but can't remember the
solution.

My disk was almost full -- 200mb remaining or so, and disk cleanup popped up
after I got a "disk space low" warning. This has happened to me several
times and I usually just delete some stuff in my recycle bin. But the last
time I got the low disk space message, I clicked "NO" when ...

I tried to get a service ticket and I cannot get registered either.
I cannot get a clean  uninstall completed .  I keep getting error
message..  I used their uninstall software.
my attempted communication with them is:

The screen is blank after booting up.  No icons, no start, cannot right
click.  I can ctrl, atl, delete but it doesn't give me the option of "new
task".  Only end task, shutdown & cancel.  Unfortunately my boyfriend cannot
find any disk that came with computer.  Help!

Acronis True Image v8 supports Win 98 thru XP, including ME. However, while
it supports ATA drives, it may not support SATA drives. I'm not sure.
