After shutting my computer down for a few hours today and
rebooting, my cd-rom drive would not work so I looked in My
Computer and it is not showing up.  I tried rebooting several
times and watching as things loaded and the drive never showed up.

What will happen if my CMOS battery fails? What will happen to my system? is
it just a case of replacing the battery and everything will be OK?
