i tried to load windows media player 9 and half way through the load a message came up informing me to run windows update to find'fix q290700' i ran the update and no such file was found, what do i do to get the media

When I attempt to install Media Player 9 I am instructed to go to Windows Update and install fix Q290700. How do I find the fix? I've tried everything I can think of to no avail. Thanks.

I am unable to burn cd's ever since I upgraded to ME from 98. Someone mentioned a Codec may be missing, such as Fraunhofer or something like that. My voice recorder will not work either. THe cd's act just like they are burning

Currently I operate with Windows ME though occasionaly I use XP, but my computer does not operate fast enough for XP to run well, so it runs extremely slow. The speakers work on this operating system.
