I have asked a few questions on here about my soundcard or
speakers, and have tried the various things suggested to
me.  
At the moment I have Windows ME and I installed XP over,

i tried to load windows media player 9 and half way
through the load a message came up informing me to run
windows update to find'fix q290700' i ran the update and
no such file was found, what do i do to get the media

When I attempt to install Media Player 9 I am instructed
to go to Windows Update and install fix Q290700.  How do I
find the fix?  I've tried everything I can think of to no
avail.  Thanks.

Are there any "legal" music download sites that will
accomodate ME?  Most of the sites I have visited only work
with XP.

I am unable to burn cd's ever since I upgraded to ME from
98. Someone mentioned a Codec may be missing, such as
Fraunhofer or something like that. My voice recorder will
not work either. THe cd's act just like they are burning

Currently I operate with Windows ME though occasionaly I
use XP, but my computer does not operate fast enough for
XP to run well, so it runs extremely slow.  The speakers
work on this operating system.

I recently have had an error: "explorer: unknown has
caused an error in unknown and explorer will be shut down"
In investigating this, I checked ADawaare, Norton 2004,
and Spybot and removed appropriate critters but continued

I have been having some problems burning cd's. I looked in
the "Multimedia" settings in Control Panel and their are
no input devices, could this be the problem? Or could it

how do you get rid of a trojan program in the wmp.exe
file.  Norton can't seem to get rid of it.  How does one
remove WMP?  Any suggestions?
