I can't seem to find any solutions to fix this error message .  Please help

I recently downloaded a newer version of WPM, I went from 7 to Series 9.
Download seem to go fine, however, when I try to open attachments with the

It says the update was successfully installed, but it has been

When I playback any movie trailor or voice in Media Player, the voice sounds
like it has been speed up, sounding like munchkins.  Any suggestions on how
to slow it down?
