I'm trying to install the protocols netbeui and IPX/SPX on
a Windows Millenium machine - the protocols ARE in the
selection box - but after I select it it just brings me
back to the 'Select Network Component Type' without adding

I have had intermittent problems with my wireless network for a year, mostly
transferring large files.  After trying other things and looking hard at the
behavior and my networking texts, I have a theory as to what is causing
it -- The receive window being used by TCP/IP is larger ...

    My computer running ME will not obtain anywhere near
the connection speed of my other two (one running 98 - the
other running XP).  My DSL provider waled me through
looking at the device manager and we discovered there are

I am trying to setup ics between  Win Me and a Win XP and
everytime I run the network setup wizard and go through
the steps at the end the error always comes up "netconn

I have a wireless network using the Microsoft 500 base
station and 510 adapter.  One computer runs XP-Pro and is
directly connected to the base station.  The other
computer runs ME and uses the 510 adapter.

I am using Me(Laptop) and a wireless Lan card.  When I try
to connect to the interent, dial up appears.  If I set my
properties to "never dial", I just get "network not
detected". I check my winipcfg, and my ap is 0.0.0.0.

Okay, I have a new problem. I have two computers each with
internet sharing installed. The connection, which is qwest

I'm trying to use the ics to connect xbox live i have to
share the connection because i have a usb modem, but
evertime i get to the end of the home networking setup it
says error in nexconn exe.

Several years ago I was told how to disable the logon
prompt. I now want to enable it as I have a home network
and the logon is required to access other computers on
the network. To get the logon prompt I have to logoff
