   I have a DSL modem and a Linksys wireless router. I have my desktop
running ME hooked up to the router with a Ethernet cable. I have 2 machines
running XP ( 1 laptop and 1 desktop) that connect with wireless cards. All 3
machines can access the internet without a problem.

I have ME on a laptop which connects to my network at home via wireless card.
Both the XP box (XP Home SP2) and the ME laptop can't see each other They are

When I run winipcfg my network adapter is showing up
as 'PCI Bus Master Adapter' rather than the adapter name.
Instead of 'IP address' it says 'IP autoconfiguration'
with ip of type 169.etc & subnet of 255.255.0.0.

I met on serious problem with my computers. I have one desktop & one
notebook both with windows ME installed. Each of which has a LAN card
installed. I could use each of them to browse internet separately (IP
