I have a Windows ME m/c that I want to connect to Windows XP via a parallel cable. I open Control Panel on the ME m/c and double-click the Network icon, but nothing happens. Has anyone else had this? How can I get the Network window to come up?

I downloaded a WS_FTP program to upload files to an ftp site that will be hosting my web site. I connect to the ftp site, but as soon as I connect the WS_FTP program freezes with the following error message generated: Wsftpgui has caused an error in WSFTPCTL.DLL.
