Not simply a DNS problem. Won't ping any IP addresses outside the computer itself. 127.0.0.1 is OK. The local IP address is OK.

Hello again, I`m having some trouble with my old Windows 98 based laptop. (I know its not ME but they are basically the same and there does not seem to be a 98.network_web group on my server.) The machine can connet to normal websites (google.com, microsoft.com etc)

Trying to setup a simple p-p network between an XP Pro and ME machine, the ME machine does not allow me to set a static IP address. I can't enter any digits. Any ideas how to remedy this? Thanks,
