I have a HP Pavilion with ME loaded on.  I have had no
problems until yesterday.  My wife was on the machine and
doing some shopping when the machine froze.  She was
unable to get it going so she turned the machine off.

I have windows Me and have enabled the function "Enable
folder view for FTP sites" under Internet Options. I was
able to view FTP sites but since I have upgraded my
windows Me I cannot find this option again. Any help will

a virus jumped into my windows folder and named itself
system.etc etc etc and I sent a bunch of stuff to the
recycle bin including system.ini - ooops
how can I get it back into the windows dir since the

This may be an IE problem but I uninstalled IE from a set
with Windows ME loaded on it.  Now the set won't boot.  I
tried to access the boot menu via the F8 key at boot up
but it doesn't come up.

I have somehow downloaded a file named "mss.exe" in my
WINDOWS >> TEMP folder. It has just recently appeared. I
can not delete the applcation, as it says it is in use by

scan disk finds free space is being reported incorrectly
on drive C. I select fix it but setup aborts
automatically. have re partitioned and formatted 40 gig
drive to smaller partitions with same result.

i just reformatted a compaw presario for a friend. It has
WINME and all I did was boot from restore disk #1 and
follow the screen directions. All it ever asked was for
the next disk and then it booted to WINME, buwithout the

I wiped my disk and reinstalled ME. Everything seemed to go
fine up to the end until the system rebooted. When the
system boots I get a message from Explorer that says "This
program requires more conventional memory. Unload drivers
