1.  How do I keep some programs from loading on start-up
and putting their icons on the taskbar?
2.  I have no "unplug or eject hardware" icon on the
taskbar, but need it to download digital camera pictures

My icons on my Control Panel are not shown.  The bottom
says I have 36 programs but I see no icons.  Background is
white.  I have tried the 'view' options to no avail.

but this is not a upgrade version how do i install on top

When I restart my computer after installing a program, it
says "windows could not upgrade the file %1 from %2" and
then it says "MSIEXEC.EXE file is linked to missing export
MSI.DLL:222. And so it can't install the program. What

I am having the same problem as Nora & Bill G.  And I,
also, do not have a file WININT.INI.
Your suggestion to run SCANREG /FIX does correct the
problem until I try to install something else.
