I just purchased a new computer with windows ME. It was
returnrd to the dealer by a previous owner.  I can't get
the other owners name off the registry.  How do I do it?

After applying recent critical updates from MS web-site,
my pc starts up fine, but only the flashed the task bar
momentarily, then it disappears entirely.  I have tried to
go to safe-mode, but the exact same thing happens.  Any

I bought a Win Me Key from 9software.com
Installation says invalid key.
My wife has Win Me I tried the key in her registry got the
same message.

On the first reboot during XP install, the computer stops
with the following message:
Windows could not start because the following file is
missing or corrupt:

My computer meets the system requirements of Windows ME,
but when I begin installation, I receive an error that
states that installation cannot continue because the
computer doesn't have at least 150MHZ. My pc has 200 MHZ.

Setup hangs after re-install11 Aug 2003 21:38 GMT4
I elected to re-install Windows ME.  The re-install was
successful but upon restarting the computer, the system
hangs with the message: Please wait while set completes
the configuration files.

I'm using WinME and when I went to restart the PC I
received the following message:
"Cannot find or load reequired file KRNL386.EXE.  Access

I'm trying to create an ME startup disk
If keeps asking me for ebd files.  There are none on the
hard drive (and i don't have the ME CD).
These files are supposedly on Fat32ebd.exe.
Stuck in safe mode, "ptsnoop causes err in mmsystem.dll"10 Aug 2003 16:54 GMT2
I deleted a few Hewllett-Packard drivers (HP dll's) and
after a restart ME came up in safe mode, the mouse cursor
disappeared, an error msg "ptsnoop has caused an error in
mmsystem.dll, ptsnoop will now close" comes up.
