At boot up I get the "Please wait while windows updates
your configuration files.  This may take a few minutes."
message.  Then the systems loops indefinitely with the
message "Windows could not upgrade the file %1 from %2"

i am having a problem was cleaning out my computer trying
to get rid of stuff and i deleated a file i needed.  I get
an erorro message of Explore.exe cannont start reinstall
windows.  and i dont have a startup disk how can i fix

Installed a new hard drive on my Laptop and just finished re-installing all
the software. Visited PC Pittstop for a performance review and received the
following comment;

98 'items' being listed in VCM (all the same date).

How do i remove the dual boot during startup of WinME?
The dual boot contains the following:
1) WinXP setup
2) Normal Windows startup

When trying to make a startup disk for my millenium HP I
get an error message that "aspi2dos.sys" is missing;
obtain from  vendors millenium discs.  I can't find it on
my Disaster Rcovery disks. Can you help?

I have intalled the latest BIOS fix from COMPAQ for my
Compaq Presario 7000T 7RPM11 1.7 ghz 256RAM WinME pc.  But
when I boot up it occasionally switches back the startup
sequence to start first with CD-ROM, instead of floppy
