I want to upgrade ME to XP-Pro with a clean install
(complete reformat).  I believe that I need to change my
BIOS to have the boot sequence look at my CD before C
drive.  Is this right and if so can you tell me how to

I got a problem, I got a dell and I tried installing windows me on an older
computer and it wont work! that really sucks!, should I install the other
dell disks?? like Office 200 on Windows 98??

Tried to install a lexmark x5150 all in one printer,
scanner and copier. Software installed fine, scanner
worked fine but windows me was never able to identify the
printer. returned the printer to the store and exchange it

machine wont boot sticks on message (searching for rom)

what does OE removed accees to the following unsafe
attachments--it seems that  i get a lot of these.  also
after doing something on MSN I get a message that HMSN has
cause a problem--how do I correct these

Does anyone know what could be causing this issue?  The
messages I get during boot are "Memory Access Violation in
Module Kernel32 at 833:85584739", with 4 different address
ranges - 7992:59953139, 1856:21361432, and 2885:85582634.  

somehow the yahoo emblem is now showing in the right hand
corner of my microsoft internet explorer insted of the
microsoft emblem and with that there i cant open some
programs how do i get that changed back???????  shelly

When ever my system is running slow, I hit the ctrl-alt-del
buttons and I see that "rundll32" is running 2 or 3 or 4
times.  When I close them down, everything speeds up and
returns to normal.  What is rundll32 and how can i prevent

recently, when running some windows updates, i received a
message about not being able to run system restore unless
i "obtain fix q290700 from windows update".  i cannot find
how to obtain this fix.  can anyone tell me how, please.

I've got a client box with ME on it, lots of problems, I
was the one with the wininit.ini problem which is solved

My daughter download quick time. It runs in the background
and prevents scan disk operations. I think it acts a lot
like a virus for Windows ME os. Can't uninstall using
Add/Remove Programs because the application is not listed

I formatted my HD last night on my second PC. Then i
found out that the case my Win Me disk was in was not the
original. It was binned when it broke. Along with the
Key. Is there a way of getting a new code or a way of
