I defragmented the hard drive.  Now when I start the
computer, I get a message that reads: "ssdpsrv has caused
an error in unknown"  -- will now close.  I read somewhere
that this is a message that can be removed if Universal

Starting last night, as I boot up the computer, certain
files that are listed in Msconfig Startup hang and refuse
to load and I have to CTL ALT DEL and end task to get the
process to continue.  These usually include systray,

Working on an IBM pc that appeared to have a virus. Many
zip files at startup and upper left corner small windows
that appeared to be running diagnostics. Before anything
could be done it would reboot and do the same thing.

When ever i turn on my computer it gives me 4 options

I see this 'error' message on bootup: 'Cannot set the code
page(s) in WINDOWS.SYS'. And System Restore ceases to
function when triggered, at about mid-point on the
progress bar so I use ALT|CTRL|DEL to stop it's operation.

I have to go from WinMe to Win2000Pro.  i have to format
the disk before i install Win2000.  what's the proper
procedure to retain control of the CD Drive, yet wipe the

After setup the keyboard uses the English (US)
configuration. - I need to change to an English (British)
keyboard but the system tells me that the kbduk.kbd file

i have recently learnt (the hard way) that win me cannot

I have now tried two different scenarios to now avail.  
Computer crashed decided to reload windows me program.  
After using utility disk to reformat, reinstalled program.
