This is probably a really stupid question, but I don't
have much experience with computers.
Is it possible to boot DOS without a startup disk?

Need a little help please, we have a laptop with no serial
port, we bought a usb to serial convertor.  We can't get
it to work.  We were told to reload software but convertor
didn't come with any.

I am currently running Windows 98 and attempting to
upgrade to ME. When the upgrade is installed my browser
(IE 6.0) no longer functions. I can connect and ping

When booting up ME:  a request for pass word appears.  If,
wrong pass word no entrance permitted; if, correct pass
word entrance permitted; however, if Cancel is selected
entrance is permitted.  Why?
