Hello, I am trying to fix a computer with the following
problems. It will not boot in normal or safe mode. What I
have tried thus far is to reinstall Windows ME over top
of what is there with the hopes that the user's files

Currently have loaded Win98. Bought upgrade to ME. Can't
find product code. Give product code for 98 and the
submission is an invalid ID.  Asks for 25 characters, but
only accepts 21. No humans to talk to at MS without the

I recently cleaned up my hard drive etc. Now when I open

I just reinstalled WinMe, how do I get a logon screen appear?  I have set up
users and passwords in the control panel but when I start up it goes right
to the desktop. If I logoff it will show of list of user and the logon on
screen.

message reads "Iexplore has caused an error in

I have Windows ME. Some of the files associated with
windows were deleted (.dll) and now the system is bad. I
tried to reinstall ME, but more than half way to the
setup, an error occurs with SUWIN and asks me to either

Someone suggested that I change the default operating
system in MSCONFIG, but I don't seem to be able to see
what I am supposed to change in that particular file.  
Could someone explain what I am supposed to do?  I would

Trying to help a friend, she's having trouble at startup;
her internet connection is disappearing when she shuts
dowm and brings it back up. She is also having trouble
defragging, program running preventing defrag, and there

first of my problems is that ME sometimes freezes on
startup, but i can live with that.  The second and main
problem I have is I bought XP and tried to install on
secondary hard disk but the installation crashed and wont
