Windows ME repair install on a Compaq 5101AN (Duron 900MHz, 128MB Ram). The
computer no longer shuts fully off, instead brings up the "It's now saft to
turn your computer off" screen. It still has the hibernate option, doens't
power the system off completely either.

I have a number of folder shortcuts on an active desktop. I wish them to
always open in a window of a preferred size. This would be a larger/deeper
window than the 'default one which appears to be 'classically small'.

I have been using WinME for a couple of years, after my Mac was stolen.
My PC is set for dual-boot between ME and XP, which exist in folders c:\WINDOWS and
c:\WINNT respectively on the same (FAT) Partition.
Before you all gasp in amazement, it was originally set-up with ME and W2K ...

I have an old Gateway that no longer works. Am trying to install ME on
another computer, but can't because it is not Gateway. Any way around

I'm using another computer to type this message.  
My computer won't load after bootup.  It goes through the memory screen,
then the Dell screen, then the ME screen with the blue line that scrolls
across the bottom, then it comes up to my password box, then when I get

when i open the web site at slingo.com in internet exolorer it is too large
for the btowser. how can i get the web page to display in the area of the
btowser so i can read it? it only does it in win me on the xp machine it
works gteat. you have to use shockwave with itt.
