Recently, I noticed that when opening the add/remove
programs dialog, I no longer have and programs listed. I
attempted to download another add/remove utility and it
had the same issue. Any assistance on how to correct this

I used Norton CleanSweep last week in an attempt to speed
up my system. Apparently, critical files have been deleted
from the system files. It appears I now have to reformat

My PC froze while I was downloading an update of McAfee
virus defintion files. My PC now freezes when I start
Windows unless I start it in Safe mode, which bypasses the
Virus scan that runs automatically at setup.

Few weeks ago a power surge corrupted my hard drive. I
managed to re-store the WIN Me, but I notice this morning
the System Restore only show 1 restore point which is the
todays's, and no other history available.

i bought my emachine in 2000, Oct. systems number
QRa09d0100667 and now my restore CD is out of date.. Where
may I get a new restore? and how long will it last?.
