When I try and open Cubase software, I get the error 'the
DDRAW.DLL file cannot start. Check the file to determine
the problem'.  I have re-installed directx and Cubase
without joy.  Any idea's anyone?

Kernell32.dll and user.exe errors when using internet explorer on a Windows Me system.  Quite annoying when I'm paying money to ulitize a job worksite and am continually getting thrown off the internet.  Any solutions to a fix??? Any help would be appreciated.

Through  QFECHEK command I have seen that Q314757 installation had ended
marked "INVALID" .
Files SSDPAPI.dll , SSDPSRV.exe and UPNP.dll have been updated only in

I have an installation that will pre-install Microsoft
Installer if it isn't present.  On a particular Windows
ME system, I am continually prompted to reboot the system
at the beginning of the install where the MS Installer

I added a user and removed the user but now when starting
ME I get the 'log on to user' window. Since I have only
one user on system, how do I disable the logon window?

At startup I am getting the error message "Windows could
not upgrade the file %1 from %2", instructing me to "press
any key to continue". Per the Microsoft site I am to
rename the file "wininit.ini" to "wininit.old".

When the sign on screen appears, it has a place for your
user name and password, which is fine. The problem is that
anyone can just hit the cancel button and windows boots
up. I'm wondering if their is anything I can do to stop

The recycle bin icon is missing, I accessed the microsoft
knowledge base and  and edited the registry to restore but
that did not correct the problem.
It is not hidden behind other icons.

When trying to install a usb ram drive by plugging it into
the usp port, my Win/ME system displays the first popup
indicating that it is installing the driver then hangs. I
must manually end the install process. Looking at the

i hope i am in the right place, as i have never used this
help system before. i have a dell computer with the ME
operating system. i have been unable to defrag the hard
drive using the microsoft defrag option and nortons
