What I need to know is how to restore the control panel [Windows ME] after it has been shut down by tweak ui. None of the things in the control panel will work and I get a message saying to contact the system administrator????

system restore only keeps 2 days of restore points and deletes most of them when my machine reboots. is it possible to backup a restore point to disc after full installation so it can be restored at a later date.

There are some .exe files in the c:\windows folder that cannot be opened by clicking on them. When I click to try to open them, they flicker for about a half second with a black box, opening and then immediately closing with a blink of an eye. Why can't I open these files? I am ...

When I start-up my system or when I have to restart my system I put in my password then windows goes through it's start-up processuntil everything is loaded. The problem begins there. I usually have to wait for several minutes

When I click "START" and then "HELP" I get "cannot find "helpctr.exe" files". Went to RUN and typed it in and it can't find it either. I want to use System Restore but can't get to HELP....HELP...

I have tried everything from typing regsvr32 URLMON.dll in the run window and I have downloaded Adaware6.0 which did not solve the problem either. Also keep in mind that I don't have any HP components on my computer either.

i have removed the applog files and ran scandisc and defrag in safe mode but i am still getting the id no. defrag00205.I have tried this numerous times but defrag stops at various places.
