lost my wallpaper...cannot access from properties29 Nov 2005 18:42 GMT3
Hey all,
 I encountered a problem recently. When my computer boots up I can see the
wallpaper come up on the screen but I have no icons. Then when the icons
appear my wallpaper disappears. I am running xp home edition service pak 2.

I have unchecked PCHealth in msconfig some time ago.This is perhaps the
cause
of the absence of restoration points.The related checkbox has vanished from
msconfig.

Can't get beyond this message just a LOOP. Followed the instructions on this

Problem 1: Scan Disk and Defrag will not finish. They run endlessly until I
get a message that says it tried repeatedly but something else is writing to
the hard drive.

_restore\temp folder. Using Mike M's replies to previous post I found the
-restore\temp foler.
My question is, is it safe to just delete what's in the temp folder or is
