I have a windows service which is suppose to act as a control point
bridging various proprietary widgets to all WMCs on the network.
Our control point service shows up on all WMC on the network (with its
MAC address) except the WMC on same machine where the service is

I am trying to setup WMC such that it streams to my Roku soundbridge
(this has worked before!).
The phenomenon is that the Roku can connect to the library, but when I
try to browser albums, artists or songs I always only get an error "<0

I have WMC installed on two computers
XP Pro SP2 and XP Home SP2.
I am trying to use my Roku soundbridge.  On both of them I have added Roku
as a device.  That worked.  Now when I try to add a folder in WMC I get a

Trying to hook up to a M1000 Soundbridge from Roku, I can add the device to
WMC - no problem -  but I cannot add folders to be shared and as such have
the M1000 acces my WMP-libraries.
The properties for the folder(s) on local drive(s) are set to be "shared".

I'm running win. xp sp2. Roku M1000 no problems expect on Reboot. I have
about 6500 Files and when I start WMC it takes about 30 minutes of 97 to 98%
of CPU to go thru Scanning, Loading and Sharing. CPU speed 1.5g. I'm tired of

I am using Intel's SSDP client to discover WMC. I need to discover WMC on
same host. But discovery works fine for WMC on remote host but does not work
if client and WMC are on same host. Below is the observed behavior:

is there any way to configure wmc to place song tags in a heirarchy - similar
to on an ipod?
i.e. the heirarchy is genre, artist, album, song --- so when you select a

I can't seem to share any folders on my computer using WMC.  When I try to
add a folder, the computer pauses for a few seconds and then an error box
pops up that says "The folder cannot be added.  The specified domain does not
exist or could not be contacted."  Any ideas?

After installing the Windows Media Connect, I get an error that says "Folder
sharing cannot be started. The dependency service or group failed to start."  
Please help?

From the new specs released on the XBox360 today, it sounds like it will work
with the Windows Media Connect service to allow access to all of your digital
media and stream it to your tv.

I use WMC with a DLink DSM 320 and it works great.  Great, that is, as long
as I don't have to restart my computer.  Every time I restart my computer
running the server, WMC won't load my files.  It is stuck in "loading" status
