I recently upgraded to firmware 1.06 for my d-link DSM-320 wireless media
player and all seemed to work well until, in the middle of the playlist, the

Hi all,
I have a DSM-320 and have used it successfully with with WMC for a few weeks
to stream ripped CDs. I then bought some tracks from MSN. The tracks I have
bought have downloaded to my library OK, and they play just fine on Media

Excuse my ignorance, but I am not quite sure where to start looking.  I
have the D-link media server.  I use it to listen to internet radio
(live365).  However, there are some other broadcasters that I would
like to listen to (such as people on shoutcast) which use winamp.  What

I have discovered that my DSM-320 has a problem with playlists comprised of
protected and unprotected WMA files.
Use Case #1:

Can a windows media device be another computer?  My wife has a computer and
would like to listen to the music on my computer.  Seems kind of silly to
copy the music to both.

My D-Link DSM-320 and Media connect had been working perfect up until today.  
I downloaded the newest firmware (6.0) to the D-Link player and now it will

 I had to do a repair installation of XP, which included having to reinstall
Service Pack 2. After that, Windows Media Connect does not function.  I get a
message that says it isn't a working device (or something to that effect).
  Only now did I see that this is a "known issue" ...
