Is there a way to view pictures thumbnails when using WMCv2 ?
When I was using the media server that came with my DSM-320, I was able to
see photo thumbnails when browsing a floder containing JPG pictures... but
it's no longer the case with WMC.. I only see their file names.  Note ...
My DSM-320 can't see 1 (of 3) of my WMC Servers31 Oct 2005 21:50 GMT1
Hi Peeps
I've just about given up on this but thought I'd ask here.
I have three XP Pro (SP2) PCs. All running WMC 2. Two are wired, one is
wireless. The DSM-320 is wired. All share an SMC hub with no NAT or filtering
Windows Media Connect 2.0 - I'm so Disappointed26 Oct 2005 21:56 GMT2
I have a D-Link DSM-320 and I'm using Windows Media Connect. I have
been waiting FOREVER for a new release of WMC because of an annoying
bug. It's a bug that has been known for some time - fast forwarding a
video on the DSM-320 doesn't work. Previously, when you hit FF, and
Someone in Microsoft's Windows Media Divison, PLEASE ANSWER25 Oct 2005 07:46 GMT3
I purchased the DSM-320 with the thought that just maybe it would support
Windows Media Video, via a firmware update. Then after a while I seached
around and it was stated that it can never upgraded to do so per the CPU
limitations. Now I was wondering if you all could integrate ...
Media Connect V2 - Network Attached Storage Device25 Oct 2005 04:23 GMT4
Media Connect recongizes and adds my Network Attached Storage Device (Buffalo
Link Station).  However, my Roku Sound Bridge does not see the folder on that
drive.  It does pick-up other folders on the computer itself.
Any clues?

My dsm-320 is coming up deactivated after every reboot.  I did not have this
problem until about a month ago.  The only thing that I know has changed is
the firmware on the dsm-320.
I saw a previous post on this topic and looked at the registry.  My unit's

"Access Denied" when setting up WMC share25 Oct 2005 01:44 GMT1
I'm a new Windows Media Connect user (for my Roku Soundbridge M1001) and
receive an "The folder cannot be added. Access Denied" whenever I try to set
up a share using WMC (2.0--just downloaded).
As I test, I did this:
WMC won't install - Service already exists?23 Oct 2005 03:04 GMT1
I'm having a really tough time installing Windows Media Center.  Everytime it
gets midway through the installation when it stops with an error that says:
The installation failed, and the rollback has been performed. --> The
specified service already exists.
Unknown Error23 Oct 2005 02:50 GMT1
I have a dell desktop running XP Home, with Service pak 2.  While using
Windows Media Connect (WMC) I get about 50 or so "Unknown Errors" while
sharing my music folder.  The FAQ gives a fix for this, but it seems to only
be for XP Pro, because the tabs it asks for are not in XP ...

WMC deactivates my player14 Oct 2005 05:24 GMT3
Any one notice that WMC intermittantly deactivates your authorized player
from its supported devices list?  I have to open WMC and re-add the device
for it to work.  Usually this happens when I reboot or shutdown the DSM-320.

How do I uninstall Windows Media Connect?13 Oct 2005 18:18 GMT2
I just added Adobe Photoshop to my system and it installed Windows Media
Connect. I don't want WMC, I don't need it, and I want it off of my PC.
Naturally, the Miscro$oft FAQ ignores the idea that someone might not want
their programs, and so it doesn't tell users how to ...

I have Windows Media Connect installed on my XP home SP2 machine.  I have
designated my d:\music library as the shared folder and my Dlink DMS-320
