Some peoples 360 won't find Windows Media Connect after downloading because
you also have to download .NET Framework. When you downloaded WMC, at the
very end a window pops up telling you that
you need .NET Framework. Also the .Net Framework is

I finally got WMConnect working with our Xbox360 (had to upgrade the firmware
on the Linksys routers).  I had a couple issues that I'm thinking might be
bugs:
* WMConnect does not detect newly added music.  I recently copied some more

I can move .wav files to "my music" folder and the 360 sees them through WMC,
but when you try and play the files, it flashes up a red circle with a slash
through it.  Any ideas?

Well ive got the media center extender working fine, but when i go into media
and just want to look at pictures without media center running it tells me
that it cant connect to the PC even when i have Media Connect 2.0 running
In the options for connect 2.0 it comes up with File ...

I have a Xbox 360 connected to a LAN of 100 Mb/s. My internet connection is
4Mb/s. If I try to streame video to the TV from providers on the internet,
the quality is bad. What free tools are there to troubleshoot where the
problems are?

I have 3 PCs and a Xbox 360. One of the PCs runs WMC 2005 and the two other
XP pro. I have manged to get the WMC 2005 pc and on of the XP pro PC to be
available for the Xbox 360. The last XP pro pc does not manage to install the

With the newest vrison of Windows Meida Connect I cannot right-click on the
device to rename it, like on the old version. Any idea how I can rename a
device with ver 2.0??

I have windows media player 10.0 and windows xp home edition and windows
media player won't recognize the device.  Does anyone know what I can do to
fix this?  I installed all windows upgrades and security issues and looked at
all post with no help.

HI, this is confusing...i need help!  :)
I am using a linksys wireless access point router with the official xbox
wireless adapter.  I am able to connect to XboxLive, but WIndows Media
Connect cannot see my xbox device.  What are the settings that have to be

I formatted and installed Windows XP on my machine. All is well except no
sound. Device Manager shows Multimedia Audio Controller where it says  "The
drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)" And I can't update the

you have to log onto your computer every time after screen saver has been
