When I click on Windows Media Connect, I get a message saying:
Windows Media Connect Wizard. Folder Sharing cannot be started. The
dependency service or group failed to start.
I have Windows XP(SP2). I installed both UPnP and .NET Framework today.

After downloading and restarting my computer, Windows Media Connect 2.0 was
able to 'find' my X-Box 360 with no problems. However, my 360 couldn't find
my computer, but it could find the wireless router, internet connection,
X-Box Live! etc. I reset my Windows firewall settings ...

I used WMC2.0 and Roku (both 1000 and 2000). Some of the recently ripped
songs don't even show up in my Rokus (I have two of them - M1000 and M2000).
Many of the songs ripped a long time back also don't show up at all. But if I
create a playlist and include those songs, they play ...

okay so when ever i try and install windows meida connect and it trys to
autharize my 360 it says it cant fined one connected to my network but its
powerd on and connected to my ethernet port on my pc it evein shares the same

I downloaded Windows Media Connect from http://www.xbox.com/pcsetup, and am
attempting to install it.  When I reach the "Authorizing the Xbox 360..."
step of the setup process, the installation fails, and I received the

I am using Media Connect on a Windows XP machine to stream MP3s to my xbox
360 - all of my albums have the artwork attached however they do not appear

Everything I've seen about using 3rd party firewalls like Zone Alarm with
Windows Media Connect basically says, "Don't use a 3rd party firewall."  I'm
comfortable with Zone  Alarm, and would like to keep using it.
