I know on older versions of WMP I was able to select an option under VIEW that would allow for keeping WMP displayed on top (like in the corner) while still working in other windows.

At http://atomfilms.shockwave.com/af/home/ some films will play for me and others will not. For example, "Pink Five" (A Star Wars fan film) will not play. However, "Stick Figure Porno" will.
