I tried to play a video that someone sent me through msn messenger and when I tried to play it in windows media player, error 80040154 came up. what does that mean and how can i fix it so i can watch the video?

I tried to download a wav file sent through email. It doesn't even give me the oppurtunity to save it. It automaticaly opens up windows media player and then I get error message 80040154. What do I do? Thanks to anyone who helps me. Flo

This is a little off-topic, but I am hoping that the collective knowledge of this group can help me I just want to be able to grap a few seconds of video from a DVD and create a mpeg or some Windows media file that I can put on my web site. Is there a simple way of doing this

I've downloaded media player 9, and tried to play one of the featured music videos - madonna or dave brubeck, etc, but all I get is a message: "windows media player cannot play this file" error # C00D10B3. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks p.s. I am running Windows ME

Since no one can really help solve this error report one has to assume that Microsoft hasn't a clue what the problem is. Our best bet, until Microsoft figures out and fixes this bug, or tell us amateurs what to download to fix it, we might as well just get Real Player and go on ...
