I can see the video on the laptop screen. I can see the Windows Media Player window on the projected screen but the video is just black. I there some setting I am missing?

i have media player 9 and now i cant play radio from my local stations. the error message says to open the network tab but i cant open that either. i am running windows 2000 on a pII. it used to work but now i cant play any stations

My speakers went out on me for some reason....they turn on, theyre connected, the light even comes on but no sound at all...every time i try play the media player it says "cannot play file" if this is a soundcard problem then what do i do?
