I run Windows XP .Modem oprated. media player 9.  I keep getting error CooD11CD when trying to play back a movie.

I'm getting an error message when trying to view sample videos from various websites.  Shows: connecting to media.....then  media changing....  then Player selecting a run time not valid for this media type....using Windows ME, and just now downloading  Media Player 9 Series

When I try to view online movie clips, my PC seems to
always try to play them with the Quicktime viewer,
regardless of the format of the clip.  Can I change my PC
settings so that Media Player is the default player?
