Trying to get the latest codecs in order to watch avi's in media player. Downloaded the latest codec from media player site, installed and tried to run the avi. Got "class not registered" error message. Any ideas Thx, CG

Downloaded V9 media player for XP from upgrade center and got the message "Encountered unknown internal error" during installation. I've tried reinstalling, deleting, reinstalling from XP Pro CD -- all I get is "an internal application error has occurred".
